On Saturday, May 17, 2025, the West Hollywood park turned into a pup-lover’s paradise as Lisa Vanderpump, husband Ken Todd, and The Vanderpump Dog Foundation hosted the 8th Annual World Dog Day! The outdoor celebration brought together over 2,000 attendees and their four-legged friends for a day dedicated to joy, advocacy, and canine community. Presented by NutriSource Pet Foods and co-sponsored by The City of West Hollywood, the event was part fashion fête, part fundraiser — and fully fabulous!

Paws strutted and tails wagged as pups made their grand entrance on a dedicated red carpet, flanked by flashing cameras and delighted onlookers. With curated photo ops sprinkled across the park — think step-and-repeats designed at dog-eye level, plush set pieces, and rose-filled installations — every stylish pup had their moment in the spotlight.
And stylish they were. From rhinestone harnesses to silk capes and streetwear-chic hoodies, canine couture took center stage. Guests — both furry and human — paraded past more than 45 dog-focused vendors offering everything from organic pup-sicles to runway-ready pet accessories.

But beyond the glam, World Dog Day carries a powerful mission: raising awareness of dog abuse and promoting rescue efforts across the globe. “It’s incredible to me that we’re on our 8th World Dog Day,” said Lisa Vanderpump in her welcome speech. “This is truly my favorite day of the year. We’ve rescued thousands of dogs since launching The Foundation in 2016 — and we’re just getting started.”
Throughout the day, West Hollywood Park buzzed with excitement: a Doggy Adoption Area by NextStar & Capstar, a Games Tent courtesy of SUR Restaurant, and a Doggy Play Park presented by Fresh Patch gave pups plenty to do (and sniff). The Education Area from Penthouse Paws helped spread awareness around responsible pet ownership and rescue resources.
The event, hosted by singer/songwriter Sam De Rosa, featured magic by Katrina Kroetch (with an appearance by Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Schwartz) and contests that delighted the crowd: the Vanderpump Dogs Look-Alike Contest (presented by The Posh Puppy Boutique) and a wildly fun Doggy Pie Eating Contest. Judging duties were handled by Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa stars Anthony Bar, Hagen Bach, Sam Terry, and Aidan McHugh.
DJ Bateeza provided the soundtrack to this dog daydream, spinning feel-good beats while VIP guests — including actress Maggie Lawson, Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, and more — mingled, posed, and petted.

Lisa Vanderpump closed the event with a heartfelt message: “We are so proud of the impact our Foundation has made. Thank you to our tireless staff, devoted volunteers, and generous sponsors — especially NutriSource — for making days like this possible. Together, we’ll keep working to rescue, heal, and celebrate dogs around the world.”
One thing is certain: no one turns heads — or takes the red carpet — quite like the pups of West Hollywood!
