Six years ago today, we shared our very first digital DOGUE cover — featuring our beloved Mimi Bear, the original Cover Girl who started it all. Her charm, sass, and elegance set the standard for what DOGUE would become — a celebration of dogs as fashion icons, muses, and creative inspirations.
What began as a passion project has grown into a vibrant global community of dog lovers, stylists, photographers, and dreamers who see dogs not just as pets, but as cover stars and art.
Every cover, every feature, and every story is a love letter to the magic that happens when creativity meets dog love.
In honor of this milestone, we’re launching our biggest contest yet — the DOGUE 6th Anniversary Coverdog Contest, and for the first time ever, the winner gets a print cover feature, joining the ranks of our most iconic Coverdogs ever, and six winners will star on their own digital DOGUE covers!
We’re searching for the next generation of Coverdogs — pups with personality, style and that undeniable DOGUE flair.
The contest is open internationally to dogs of all breeds and runs until November 22. To enter, post 1–3 photos of your dog on Instagram, tag @thedoguemagazine, and include the hashtag #DOGUECoverStar2025.
Entries will be judged based on creativity, photo quality, and that signature DOGUE energy.
