Meet the Real-Life Scooby-Doo!

Scooby-Doo is officially stepping out of the cartoon world and into real life!

Netflix has revealed the adorable Great Dane who will bring the legendary mystery-solving pup to life in the upcoming live-action series Scooby-Doo: Origins, set to premiere in 2027.

For decades, Scooby has appeared as an animated and CGI character — but this time, a real dog is taking center stage. The new series will reimagine the story of the iconic group of friends and their beloved four-legged detective, introducing a new generation to one of pop culture’s most famous pups.

The show follows young Shaggy and Daphne during their final summer at camp, where they encounter a lost Great Dane puppy who may hold the clues to a mysterious supernatural event. Alongside Velma and Freddy, the group sets out on an adventure filled with secrets, mystery, and plenty of Scooby-worthy moments.

The new Mystery Inc. cast includes Mckenna Grace as Daphne Blake, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy Rogers, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma Dinkley, Maxwell Jenkins as Fred Jones, and Paul Walter Hauser, with the real-life Scooby joining as the ultimate canine star.

“Scooby is finally real!” Hagen shared while introducing his furry co-star.

First introduced in 1969 with the classic Hanna-Barbera series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, Scooby has been solving mysteries and stealing hearts for generations. While previous live-action versions kept Scooby animated, Origins marks the first time a real dog will take on the legendary role.

And yes… we think this calls for extra Scooby Snacks!
