The Stanley Pup is back! This June, the NHL and Petco Love teamed up once again to deliver the ultimate blend of sports and sweetness: an all-rescue dog hockey match where four-legged all-stars represented all 32 NHL teams.
These playful pups—many of whom were adoptable—showcased their charm, agility, and irresistibly waggy skills in a 90-minute televised special that melted hearts on and off the rink. It was more than a game—it was a glamorously good cause.
Celebrity dog lovers like Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Bublé, Paula Abdul, and more joined in, cheering for adoption and puppy-powered joy. Executive producer Michael Levitt summed it up best: “Two paws up to the NHL for giving shelter dogs a shot at their forever family.”
Fans tuned in for tail-wagging fun on June 8 via NHL Network and across NHL digital platforms.
